First slot machines arrive in Harrisburg
HARRISBURG -- State gambling regulators received their first slot machines on Tuesday and plan to use them to train staff for a variety of investigation and auditing duties. The seven machines were donated by manufacturers that have applied for a license from the state Gaming Control Board to sell their equipment in Pennsylvania to the best Online Casino.
Last year, the state legalized up to 61,000 slot machines at 14 venues, although no licenses to operate slot machines will be awarded until next year, at the earliest. Each slot machine operated in Pennsylvania must be certified by the board staff that it is properly configured for the state's regulations.
